An honorable hero

Police officer Kimberly Munley put an end to the Fort Hood massacre on Thursday in Texas. Munley confronted and shot the man responsible for killing 13 people, ending the massacre at the Army base. Munley was injured during the exchange but according to her father she is doing well. -CNN

    Good summary! I'm glad that the man was brought to justice and I am curious what happened in the confrontation to provoke the officer to shoot him.

    I'm glad she stopped it. This story fascinates me. My husband is a marine and we are on Camp Pendleton, and we can't imagine one of the marines going on a shooting fit.

    That's wonderful that she stopped it. I couldn't do that. That's sad she got hurt though.

    Good job on your summary. I would be really scared, and I don't think I could have done what she did. I'm glad that the man finally got what he deserved. My brother is in the marines. I'm glad that the issue was taken care of. Hopefully things like this won't happen again.

    Was this in response to the Muslim-American man shooting in Texas? I just read that story on Friday, it's so sad.
